Advertise in Celebrating Greyhounds Magazine

We invite you to introduce and advertise your products in Celebrating Greyhounds Magazine. Through Celebrating Greyhounds Magazine, the Greyhound Project provides information directly to greyhound adopters, owners and friends not only in the United States, but in Canada, England, Spain, France, Germany, Romania, Australia, Norway and Hong Kong as well. Our circulation is over 5000 and we have been attracting new subscribers at the rate of 30-40 per week.


Greyhound adopters are always on the lookout for sources that carry or manufacture the special products their dogs need and are keenly interested in all goods and services that may make life happier and healthier for their pets. Our advertisers report that they receive strong response to their ads in Celebrating Greyhounds Magazine. There is always the possibility that advertisers in our magazine will receive foreign orders. The Greyhound Project appreciates those who make the extra effort to service these folks.

Celebrating Greyhounds Magazine is published quarterly by The Greyhound Project, Inc. The Greyhound Project is a non-profit organization providing information and support to greyhound adoption organizations, volunteers and adopters.


Advertising Specifications (Updated 2009)

 Artwork 

Advertising currently carried in the magazine is produced in black and white. Color is not available at this time. Advertising artwork can be submitted in any of the following methods. Two printed copies of the ad must accompany the submission.

All artwork must be mailed via the USPS. We will NOT accept electronic files via email.

Printed copy of the artwork printed on a high-resolution laser printer using white paper. Artwork printed on an Ink Jet or Dot Matrix printer is not acceptable.

Please submit artwork electronically on CD (MAC platform readable) in one of the following formats:

  • PDF Press Quality files (all fonts embedded...VERY IMPORTANT or your ad may default to another typeface and not reproduce accurately)

  • InDesign CS4

  • QuarkXpress (all fonts and graphics MUST be included with file)

  • Illustrator (all fonts to outline)

  • Photoshop

  • Mac formats preferred

  • NO Microsoft Word Documents

All images and scans must be:

TIFF
EPS (encapsulated postscript)
PDF print quality file

All elements at 100% size. Use stylized fonts and do not apply style attributes to basic fonts.  Do not nest EPS files in other EPS files.

The artwork must fit the space you purchased, i.e., 2-1/4 inches wide x 2-3/8 inches high per block at 100%.  Electronic files will not be "made to fit." 

Please be sure to submit the artwork and payment by the deadline of the issue in which you want your ad to appear. All advertising copy MUST be camera ready. “Camera Ready” means the ad must be the correct size and resolution (300 dpi at 100% size) to be placed directly into the space purchased. It is not our policy to provide advertising design services. Advertising artwork that requires additional work will be returned.

All advertising is prepaid. Remittance must accompany advertising copy. Payment for ads submitted from outside of the U.S. should be in the form of an International Money Order in U.S. funds.

Advertisers receive a tear-sheet from the issue containing their ads. If you require a receipt of payment please include a note with your check and we will be happy to send one to you.

 Advertising Deadlines 

We cannot accept advertising after the published deadlines.

Advertising artwork and/or payment received after the deadline will be returned.
